The History
1926 - Kugaho Kamp (later changed to Kanakuk Kamps) started
by C.L. Ford of Dallas, Texas.
1931 - Spike White joined the Kamp staff as a counselor.
1932 - Coach Bill Lantz became the Director of Kugaho,
changed the name to Kanakuk, and instilled the Four Square and I'm Third
Christian doctrines.
1934 - Kanakuk purchased by Coach Bill Lantz.
1938 - Spike White returned to Kamp as a counselor.
1955 - Kanakuk Kamps bought by Spike and Darnell White.
1958 - Spike and Darnell built and started Kanakomo Kamp
for girls.
1966 - Joe White joined the staff and began his career at
Kanakuk Kamps.
1971 - Debbie-Jo White began her career at Kanakomo.
1976 - Joe & Debbie-Jo purchased Kanakuk Kamps
from Spike and Darnell White.
1978 -
K-2 Camp opened in Missouri for teenage campers.
1979 - K-Life,
ministry for teen mentoring began.
1983 -
K-West Camp opened in Missouri for teenage campers.
1988 -
K-Kountry opened in Missouri for pre-teen campers.
1991 -
Kids Across America opened in Missouri for urban youth.
1993 -
K-Seven Camp opened in Missouri for campers of all ages.
1995 -
Kids Across America Camp #2 opened in Missouri for urban youth.
1998 - Kanakuk
Ministries formed to advance
After Dark and Pure
Excitement Rallies.
1999 - Kanakuk Klassic Camp opened.
2001 -
Kids Across America Camp #3 opened in Missouri for urban youth.
2001 - Colorado Camp opened.
2001 -
Kanakuk Institute for college graduates began.
2002 -
Kanakuk Golf Kamp opened in Missouri.
2005 - Kanakuk International Leadership Training formed.
2006 -
K-Kaua'i Kanakuk Family Kamp opened in Missouri for families.
2006 - CircuiTree Solutions Division formed.
