Note From "GT"
Lindsay, Harper, and I send our greetings from Branson, MO (a.k.a. Hillbilly Vegas). Even as I joke
about that, I know we are truly blessed to live in the Ozarks and be part of a ministry that
is touching so many lives. When I'm not on the road, I take a peek out of my office window
(which just so happens to overlook the K-1 zipline) and literally have to pinch myself
because I feel like I'm living the dream. Kids, Sports, Families, College staff and most
importantly Jesus. That is what Kanakuk is about and that's what I get to be a part of
every day of my life. I get to dress up like a superhero to help a timid kamper go down the
zipline, talk with staff members dealing with major life issues, grow closer to the Lord in
my own walk and all to be a part of something bigger than myself, and make memories that
will last a lifetime. Unlike my beautiful wife Lindsay, I was never a kamper, but for both
of us our spiritual development and relationship with the Lord was cultivated on the very
ground I office on. Serving within Kanakuk for over a decade has been one of the greatest
blessings of my life. I feel the true magnitude of God's grace every time I tell someone
about the ministry the Lord allows me to serve in. Lindsay, Harper, and I can't wait to meet you or
c-ya again this summer.
