What Parents and Kampers Are Saying

  • It’s been 3 days since Kamp ended. I have looked at my pictures 23 times, been to the website 8 times, displayed my “I’m Third” towel 4 different ways and cried as I took off my Kamp jewelry. I want to go back right this second! Kanakuk changed my life. Those 13 days were absolutely without a doubt the best days of my life. During them I learned so much about myself, my identity as a Christian, where I am in my walk with Christ, and what I need to do to get closer.

  • You all do an outstanding job presenting the Gospel, and teaching kids what a blast it is to live a life for Christ! I know that my children are significantly impacted by the time they spend at Kanakuk. Thanks for all you do for our kids.

  • We love Kanakuk. It played a big role in my life as I grew up. Kept me out of a lot of trouble that I might have otherwise gotten in. For my teen years, Kanakuk was my only source of spiritual input until my senior year in high school. It was the one place I could go and express my faith that I was too intimidated to express in my "real" life. I was NOT an athlete at all. I only went to Kamp for the spiritual input and it has stood the test of time as one of the better decisions I have made in my life. I am very grateful for the influence of Kamp in my life. To this day, I still remember everyone of my couselors from my summers at Kamp. Their example lives on in my heart ...

  • Thank you for providing such a loving, caring, Christian atmosphere for our children.

  • Kanakuk has been a wonderful experience for all 3 of our children. It has been a primary part of their growing up years and has provided a strong Christian foundation that they continue to build on.

  • I was a kamper for several years and couldn't wait for our child to become old enough to attend Kamp!

  • Going to Kanakuk is the GREATEST GIFT we have given to our children.

  • Kanakuk has been a godsend and a life saver in my family. As a single parent, it is often very difficult to handle certain situations. Kanakuk has made a tremendous impact in the lives of my kids.

  • Keep up the good work! You are a blessing to God. Our daughter came home thrilled with her experience and made me take her out to buy a Purity ring.

  • We love Kanakuk. Last year was our son’s first year and he loved it. He is already wishing he could go for a month. He can't wait for this summer!!

  • We love you. We want to send our child back this year!

  • I am so grateful to God for Kanakuk Kamps and Joe White's ministry.

  • We absolutely love everything about Kanakuk!!!

  • All 3 of our kids have attended Kanakuk and it has made a difference in their lives and their faith walk.

  • Great camp! My son loves going!

  • Kanakuk has been one of the best experiences in my kids' lives. My kids have gone almost every year since 1990.

  • Kanakuk is a great summer escape for today's kids.

  • Kanakuk is, no doubt, a great camp. Our three daughters have loved going.

  • Last year was my daughter's first experience with Kanakuk and she LOVED it!! We registered her as soon as she got home for the next year.

  • Kanakuk continues to be an amazing place where amazing things happen!!

  • Each of my children have attended Kamp, and God has used it greatly in each of their lives.

  • We want to express our deep appreciation for the outstanding job your staff did in welcoming our 3 boys to your camp. This is their first for everything: being away from home for an extended period of time, attending a summer camp, and being treated like KINGS ! They were received with such love and enthusiasm we could tell, at once, they were going to have the time of their lives. We also want to thank you for each young man that was selected to counsel our son's : John (in Tepee 4), Jacob (in Tepee 7), and Chris (in Tepee 9). We had been praying for God's provision in selecting the leaders He would use to disciple our boys this summer and our prayers were answered.

We were so impressed with the organization among your staff members and how efficiently they worked together. We can hardly wait to return for the closing ceremonies and hear about the experiences our boys had during Kamp.

Once again, we can't thank you enough.

  • My son had a “GREAT” time. 'Great' is a word that rarely passes across his lips, so the experience must have had an impact. I am grateful!

  • Wow! What precious time a 14 year old girl and her mom can have driving home from Kamp after the evening closing ceremony. I had 3+ hours of time just to hear her Kamp experience. She had an incredible time. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the opportunity to have fun, friends and fellowship. You packed more fun into 2 weeks than I could have in an entire summer. The friends she makes there are precious to her. And the fellowship gives her the opportunity to stretch herself. Thank you for the care taken in hiring counselors. Thank you that they are rule followers and expect that of their cabin kids. Thank you for the expanded picture coverage this year. Incredible photos. Thank you for how thoroughly prepared you are to carry on even when the weather changes every plan you had. Thank you to Joe White and the Purity talk. I am so touched by the penny that has never been touched by human hands. She was too. Thank you for the incredible lengths you went to, to make that a token for her to take with her during these dating years.

I guess (no, I know) that is why I pay the price of Kanakuk. Oh, the fun and activities are great. The friends are fun. And the fellowship is so healthy for a teenage girl. But it's God's Word and the way Kanakuk presents it and lay it out and on the line to my daughter that causes me to send her back. There is no price that can be put on the spiritual wealth she gained this week. Thank you. Thank you.

  • We don’t have many regrets in life; but, one of them is that we did not get our kids to Kanakuk soon enough. My oldest daughter, Meghan, missed the chance altogether; Kristen did not get there until 6th grade; and our son, Travis, has been attending since he was 7. If we had it to do all over again, we would send every one of our children and all of our relatives children to Kanakuk every year as soon as they were eligible to attend.
