Note From Trish
What is the greatest thing about Kanakuk? Is it the dynamic counselors who invest 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, loving on kiddos? Could it possibly be the facilities that would challenge any other Kamp in America? Maybe it's the athletic programs that are designed to challenge kids to reach the next level in their desired sport? Or it might be the delectable food that is served hot and fast every meal. Hmmm....while all of these are truly fantastic qualities about Kanakuk, I think the BEST thing about Kanakuk Kamps is the atmosphere we provide for our campers. There is nothing like this place on earth. We diligently pray and prepare 9 months of the year in order to offer a program that is relevant and real and exciting to every kamper who walks (or runs) through our gates. Our daily mindset is to evangelize and equip every kid for the next generation. Our prayer is that they will tap into their unique qualities and learn how God has gifted them so they can go and share Him with others. The best part is that we do this through every fun and crazy sport imaginable; whether it's on the water, a field or a court, we offer it for our kiddos. We train our staff to pour out and to serve and to love kids unconditionally while coaching them in their classes or listening to them in their cabins. As a mom, there is no place my own kiddos would rather spend their summer than in the heart of one of our Kanakuk kamps!
